The first half of 2020 has been challenging, with the world facing an acute common societal dire challenge. Sweden and the world are in the midst of a time of great change and high conversion rates – we are all adapting to a new reality. The vulnerability in global integrated value chains highlights the need to secure the capacity of societies to meet rapid change with an increased capacity for cross-sectoral and international collaboration. The Covid-19 pandemic will change the conditions for international trade as well as for innovation, research and higher education for the foreseeable future. At the same time, the crisis represents an opportunity for a green reboot that benefits from the digital transformation.

It is inspiring to see how our international collaboration develops and that we together can transform how we work and excel during these extraordinary circumstances as the global collaborations to fight Covid-19 highlights. Despite these unprecedented times our co-creation and collaboration are on-going, and our international relations are strengthened by this transformation, as this blog showcases. We are also very proud that Sweden continues to be the EU innovation leader, followed by Finland and Denmark, highlighting the unique Nordic capacity for innovation.

We will now take a summer break from the blog with the aim to reset our creativity and energy for the exciting autumn ahead. Please keep in touch with us on Twitter and help us explore how we can deepen and develop our collaborations within the Swedish Innovation Partnership Programs as this will be our offices’ main focus during the months ahead.

Until August 24 – Glad sommar på er!
