New Counsellor in India

The face of change takes different shapes – it can leave you missing the great times that went by whilst creating space for something new to grow. We at the Office of Science and Innovation are sad to announce that Counsellor Maria Lunander has completed her tenure with the office. Maria has been with the OSI for 2 years, and during her time here, Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Stefan Löfven agreed on a Joint Action Plan and an Innovation Partnership for a Sustainable Future. Maria has answered this call with great ambition and resilience, fostering important relationships between Indian and Swedish governments as well as other stakeholders. Thank you, Maria. Your absence has left us all with a thundering silence.

But as mentioned – adverse change, luckily, is temporary and allows the void to be filled with something new. We are grateful that the thundering silence is now being filled with a new force. In Maria Lunander’s place we are happy to introduce Dr Fanny von Heland as the new Counsellor for the OSI. With a strong academic background as a Doctor of Philosophy in Sustainability Science/Natural Resource Management, Fanny has a dazzling record in the fields of sustainability and industrial R&D. Her sharp skills has previously placed her with heavy-hitters such as Ericsson, Antrop (a Swedish design consultancy committed to create a better future through design) and Sida (a Swedish government agency with the mission to reduce world poverty). Fanny’s experience in Research and Development will be greatly valued here in India, as her expertise is perfectly aligned with our work here. We at the OSI warmly welcomes our new Counsellor!
