The first bilateral calls between Brazil and Sweden in 2019 involving Vinnova, will be launched the next Monday, 19th of August. The Calls are intended to strengthen the Science and Innovation cooperation between industry and research organizations in Sweden and Brazil. Since 2009, the two countries have signed a strategic partnership agreement to accelerate this cooperation. This fall, three open calls will be launched.
Planning grant for collaboration with Brazil 2019
This call is open only for Swedish partners. The aim is to support the planning of joint research and innovation projects in Aerospace, Bio economy, platforms for ICT / IOT (Smart cities, Mines, Mobility) and Life Science with Brazilian actors. At least one company have to be involved together with one or more research organizations, such as universities, colleges or research institutes. The total budget is SEK 1 million aiming to support 8 to 10 implementation projects.
Innovation collaboration with Brazil (FAPESP, São Paulo)
This call is open for projects in the area of Aeronautics, Bio economy, platforms for ICT / IOT (Smart cities, Mines, Mobility) and Life Science. Swedish companies together with one or more research organizations, such as research institutes or universities can participate. The project must be in cooperation with Brazilian partners located at the State of São Paulo. The partners in Brazil shall consist of companies together with one or more research institutes or universities. The total budget for the call at the Swedish side is SEK 6 million. Vinnova intend to finance 2-3 implementation projects. The total budget in Brazil is equivalent to that in Sweden.
Innovation collaboration with Brazil (Senai)
In this calls, Swedish companies has to cooperate with at least one research institute, university or college. It is mandatory that the project have a collaboration with Brazilian partners consisting of a constellation of at least one company plus one or more research institutes or universities. The focus is on business-driven feasibility studies in the field of Bio economy, such as “Multiple use technologies applicable in the paper and pulp sector and other industries”. The total budget for the call at the Swedish side is SEK 2.5 million, intending to fund two to three preliminary study projects. The total budget in Brazil corresponds to that in Sweden.
