Join us between the 9th and 20th of November to explore cooperation between Swedish and Brazilian actors during the Sweden-Brazil Innovation Weeks. This year, the focus is on Sustainable Innovation with themes such as Sustainable Mining, Urban Mobility and Smart & Green Cities. Brazilian-Swedish partners from different sectors — government, private business and universities — will get together during these weeks.
The Sweden-Brazil Innovation Weeks build on the Strategic Partnership and Bilateral Agreement, signed by both countries in 2009, on cooperation in the areas of Science, High-technology, and Innovation. The future of waste management, 5G, Tele-medicine, Vision Zero/Traffic safety, Biogas, and many more topics will be explored.
The opening will focus on Mobility and pioneering mobility projects in Curitiba.
On the 11th and 12th of November, the Co-Creation Days Sweden-Brazil 2020 organized by Vinnova and OSI Brasília will take place, with discussion panels focusing on Mission-Oriented Research and Innovation and how to use this approach in our bilateral cooperation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals
For the opening of the Co-creation days, we will have the presence of minister Ibrahim Baylan (Minister of Enterprise and Innovation) and the Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI) Marcos Pontes follow by a panel discussion about mission orientated research with Deputy director-general from Vinnova, Joakim Appelquist and Professor Caetano Penna from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Following, we will have four panels discussing how to use mission-orientated innovation in our strategic partnership areas: bioeconomy, health, smart city, and sustainable mining.
Green Cities of Brazil: Biogas Production
Held in two sessions, on November 16th and November 19th, the event will promote seminars and presentations focusing on experiences, good practices, legislation, challenges and innovations in the biogas production chain in Sweden and in Brazil. In addition to Avfall Sverige and the Paraná Sanitation Company (Sanepar), we will have the presence of Linköping University, Paraná State University, CIBiogás, CTRPetrolina and Scania. All addressing the possibilities of using biogas in different areas.
Food Waste Prevention
The webinar will be held virtually on November 17th sharing Swedish and Brazilian experience in working with food waste prevention. It will include a discussion panel focusing on how Brazil can tackle the issue concerning food waste. From November 10th , you will be able to access prerecorded presentations online so that you can familiarize yourselves with the topic of food waste prevention.
Of course, that we could not forget all the events linked to the aeronautical field.
