This is the last blog post from our Brazilian office for the year – a good opportunity to look back and see what we have accomplished during these challenging times in the shadow of Covid-19.
Since Covid-19 entered Brazil with high impact in the middle of March this year, all meetings and seminars were cancelled and Zoom became the new tool, and all meetings virtual – as for the rest of you, I guess. However, we still managed to keep our business going and carry out our meetings with our stakeholders on distance, for example with our cluster of Swedish companies in Brazil from our so called “Executive Innovation Team-EIT” and also with our bilateral stakeholders. Several successful match making events has been carried out virtually with the help of among others RISE (Research Institute of Sweden), SISP (Swedish Incubators & Science Parks) and CISB (Swedish-Brazilian Research and Innovation Centre) as well as bilateral call between Vinnova (Sweden’s innovation agency) and Embrapii (Brazilian Company of Research and Industrial Innovation). We are still looking forward to the result of this.
Most important is that we have been able to continue our cooperation Ministry to Ministry (MEI – Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, Sweden and Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Brazil) and, in dialog between our appointed points of contact within four subgroups (Bioeconomy, Smart Cities, Health/Life Science and Sustainable Mining) creating an action plan with projects and actions to be carried out, as early as next year. As a kick off for this collaboration we had five webinars with panel discussions during our yearly Innovation week (this year 100% digital – November 9-20).
Go in and check out the panel discussions! Links to the recorded webinars can be found at our SBII homepage, under “News”.
We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
