Important meetings with stakeholders in the Strategic Cooperation on Innovation between Sweden and Brazil

The Brazilian Office of Science and Innovation visiting Sweden

The Brazilian Office of Science and Innovation had their home week this year between the 1th -5th of April to meet with important stakeholders.

One of the most important events related to the home visit, was the seminar held the 3rd of April in Stockholm “Meet our partners and learn about Brazil’s innovation system”. The workshop was organized by Sweden’s Innovation Agency (Vinnova) and the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation with the participation of Brazil’s Office of Science and Innovation (OSI Brazil). The aim was to inform about the possibility to participate in the ongoing cooperation on Innovation between Sweden and Brazil connected to the bilateral agreements from 2009 to 2015. Working with the triple Helix as a model, the target group was rather broad, including for example universities, research institutes, companies and financiers. The interest in participation was overwhelming so the 70 places available was filled within a day of the announcement of the seminar. It was therefore decided to broadcast the seminar live on internet. The presentation can still be seen here.

Also, a meeting was held with the Brazilian Embassy in Sweden. One topic discussed was the upcoming Innovation Week of Brazil in Stockholm which will take place on October the 7th to 11th.
