Partnership between researchers will cover ongoing actions in the areas of diagnosis, treatment and development of vaccines against the disease. The cooperation is the result of the Brazil-European Union (EU) Sector Dialogue “Fostering Twinning Activities in Science, Technology and Innovation”.

Since 2007, Sector Dialogues are a cooperation instrument used to reinforcing the strategic partnership between the EU and Brazil. Dialogues address to enhance exchange of knowledge, experiences and best practices at technical and political level, around key areas of interest for both sides. Several activities are supported as Preparation of studies, Specialized technical assistance, Logistics support for technical missions and Logistics support for the organization of events and publishing. 

The cooperation program between Brazil and the EU selected 12 research projects, 6 of them directly related to combating Covid-19 and the other 6 in strategic sectors such as agriculture, environment and energy. Research projects to combat the pandemic in which researchers will exchange experiences cover actions in the areas of diagnosis, treatment and development of vaccines against the disease.

All of them are open to researchers from at least one Latin American or Caribbean country.

EURAXESS – Researchers in Motion” is a European Commission initiative focused on researcher mobility and career development. Among other activities, EURAXESS supports individual researchers in finding jobs or funding opportunities to make their research stay in Europe a reality.
